Guideline for Submitting the Final Version:
- Final versions are due May 31, 2006. This is a HARD DEADLINE.
The proceedings of CIAA 2006 will be published in Springer-Verlag series Lecture Notes in Computer Science. Read carefully Springer's instructions on preparing the manuscript before you submit the final version. We request that you use the llncs.cls style file, which is contained in the package llncs2e.zip . (Using other styles might delay the publication process.) One author of each accepted paper must sign the copyright form, which can also be found at
Please include the following information:
The page limit is
Title of the Book/Volume/Conference: The 11th International Conference on Implementation and Application of Automata (CIAA 2006)
Volume Editor(s): Oscar H. Ibarra and Hsu-Chun Yen
- 12 pages for contributions accepted as regular papers.
- 2 pages for contributions accepted for poster presentation.
- The final submission comprises two components:
- Your signed copyright form must be sent either by FAX to
+886-2-2363-8247 (Attention: Hsu-Chun Yen for CIAA 2006)or by e-mail (with a scanned signed copyright form as an e-mail attachment) to on or before May 31.
-
The camera-ready copy of your paper is required before May 31. You must access the
upload interface and enter your id and password (given in the acceptance letter) to upload your camera-ready copy. The electronic files include
- your source (input) files, (e.g., .tex files for the text and .eps files for the figures),
- the final DVI file (for papers prepared using LaTeX or TeX),
- the final PostScript file (not in reverse page order),
- the PDF file of the final version of your paper.
***Do not number the pages of your submission.***To avoid confusion, name all files in the following fashion: Use always 8 characters plus an extension (ciaaNNNC.XXX), where ciaa is a fixed string. NNN is your submission number with possible leading zeros. To distinguish several files of the same type (e.g., EPS files) use characters a, b, c,... in the field C. XXX identifies the file type (tex, ps, etc.). For example, the files in a final submission could be named ciaa023a.tex, ciaa023a.dvi, ciaa023a.ps, ciaa023a.eps, ciaa023b.eps, and ciaa023c.eps. Please compress all the files with zip, tar, tar.gz, or tar.Z format. Use ciaaNNN as the base name for the compressed file (e.g., ciaa023.zip or ciaa023.tar.gz). Please, test your archive before submitting it. Copy it to a clean directory/folder, unpack it, and see if you can rebuild the postscript file for your paper from the sources. This test may not detect the lack of local, system-wide option files (e.g., .sty files). Therefore, please, check for those explicitly. Finally, please use the conference upload interface to submit your compressed file.
- Your signed copyright form must be sent either by FAX to
Extended versions of selected papers from the proceedings of the conference series will be solicited for publication in a special issue of Theoretical Computer Science (TCS) and International Journal of Foundations of Computer Science (IJFCS), alternating each year with the CIAA 2006 special issue appearing in IJFCS.
There will be a Best Paper Award for CIAA. The award is sponsored by the University of California at Santa Barbara.
